Library

The KBA has developed quite an extensive library of books, magazines, videos and DVDs on blacksmithing and other metal arts.

These are available on loan to all paid-up members. At the Spring and Fall conferences the Librarian sets up the library for the attendees to peruse. Items can be taken out then, and returned at the following conference. Sometimes, such as with new books in high demand, the borrower has to mail the book on to the next on the list after a reasonable time.

The complete library is listed on a website called “Library Thing”.
The address is www.librarything.com/catalog/kootenay_blacksmiths

If this link does not take you directly to the Kootenay Blacksmiths catalogue, then copy this address and paste it or type it into the address bar of your web browser.

This is only a listing of our 76 titles, with brief descriptions. The books are not available through that website, but only from the Librarian.

The current Main Librarian is:

Doug Newell,
4337, 48th Street,
